Charming Vines Creek Marina is situated in a picturesque coastal resort area providing access to many other beach and water sports activities. Minutes to the Atlantic Ocean and deep water, VCM is a little gem at the beach.
Vines Creek Marina is a 49 slip marina approximately 8 miles by water to the Indian River Bridge situated on the southern side of the Indian River, Pepper Creek and Vines Creek. Access is available to the Bethany Beach area and across the river to Rehoboth and Dewey Beach.
Vines Creek Marina was purchased from Mr. Melvin Rust around 1994 by the Jahnigen family. At that time “Rust’s Marina” was a popular fish camp for locals of the area to have summer fun. In 1995, all the old docking was replaced and reconstructed by Sun Marine Maintenance, Inc. to 49 boat slips ranging from 20 feet to 40 feet long.
Amenities include a deep water ramp and the only gasoline dock in the area. A new Bait & Tackle building was constructed in 1996. The building replicates today’s U.S. Coast Guard stations as seen in the Outer Banks of North Carolina and throughout the eastern United States. It is personal with the ambience of a small country store.
Today, Vines Creek Marina is home to family boaters and visitors alike. Just come in, have an ice-cream, sit on the porch swing and take in the view…
Hope to see you soon,
Elaine Watts, Manager
Vines Creek Marina
